The Gilman Street Rag

Bed & Breakfast

125 East Gilman Street
Madison, Wisconsin 53703

The Gilman Street Rag is a classic 1885 Queen Anne Victorian house on Mansion Hill in Madison, Wisconsin. Furnished with antiques, the house also boasts unusual art and book collections. Each guest room has an ample writing and reading table, books, a full closet, a 51-channel TV and air conditioning for hot summer nights.

Breakfast is served in the sunny solarium kitchen/dining room overlooking the backyard garden. Pets and children are welcomed. We have a friendly dog and a cat, also very friendly.

Just across the street from the Gilman Street Rag is Lake Mendota with the University of Wisconsin campus a five block walk along the shore. Walk five blocks the other way and you find the Wisconsin State Capitol on the square with a mix of shops, restaurants, coffee shops and the new Frank lloyd Wright convention center, Monona Terrace, overlooking Lake Monona.
