Breakfast is served in the sunny solarium kitchen overlooking the back garden. Pets and children are welcomed. We have a friendly dog and cat, also very friendly.

Just across the street from the Gilman Street Rag (named for the Steinway piano in front window.the home.s first residents in the late 19th century were musicians at the Univ. of Wisconsin) is Lake Mendota, with the University campus a five block walk along the shore. Walk five blocks the other way and you find the Wisconsin State Capitol on the square with a mix of shops, restaurants, coffee shops and the new Frank Lloyd Wright convention center overlooking Lake Monona.
